A reserved, serious woman who takes a while to open up. Like many born under Garlean rule, Rune has witnessed the horrors of war firsthand, and prefers not to get close to others for fear of loss. Yet behind the stoic façade is a woman who seeks connections as much as any other person.A traveler by nature, Rune prefers not to set down roots. Having lost those close to her at a young age, she devotes herself wholeheartedly to the defense of those in need.Rune does have a softer side, though few have ever witnessed it. She has a particular weakness for sweets.
Biography
Born in Bozja to a Garlean father and a Bozjan mother, who named her Runa Luctus. Her mother was a merchant, her father a Garlean functionary. While her home life was warm under the circumstances, the realities of living under Garlean rule meant there were few paths available.As a merchant, her mother traveled beyond Bozja with some regularity, always accompanied by a Hrothgar gunbreaker, Zorya, for protection. On one such trip a teenage Runa accompanied them, only for the Bozja incident to decimate their homeland. They fled to Eorzea, but Runa's mother did not survive the journey.Zorya took it upon herself to protect her young ward, renaming her Rune Graves to disguise her Garlean ancestry. Taking Rune on as an apprentice, Zorya found work as a bodyguard for merchants, adventurers, and anyone who could pay her coin. The two traveled together for years until Zorya was seriously injured in a skirmish and had to lay down her blade.Now a capable gunbreaker in her own right, Rune follows in Zorya's footsteps to defend anyone in need.

Rune was born in Bozja and has spent time with the Bozjan Resistance. While she no longer considers Bozja home, she considers it her duty to oust the Garleans.Garlean by birth
Like most half-Garleans, Rune has complicated feelings about Garlemald. Rune has worked as a freelancer for the Ala Mhigan resistance, as well as offered aid to the Eorzean alliance. She's also part of the Ilsabard contingent in Endwalker. Virtually any Garlean-related storyline is welcome.

Player is over 30. I'm not interested in roleplaying with people under 21. I'm interested in both short/pick-up roleplay and longer storylines.I prefer Discord for more indepth storylines, but am happy to schedule something in game. Rune is an alt, but one I play quite often. If you need my Discord handle, ask via /tell.Romance plots are welcome, but require development. Dark and mature themes are likewise welcome, but require some OOC communication so we're on the same page. Since Rune has connections to Garlemald I expect some heavy content with her storylines, which makes it all the more important to communicate about what we want to do.
